Councillor Hannah David, currently a member of Hertsmere Borough Council, and chair of Hendon Ward Conservatives, has been selected to represent the Conservative Party at the next General Election, in the Harrow West Constituency.
The constituency is currently Labour, with Gareth Thomas the sitting MP with a majority of 3000, and requires a swing from Labour to Conservatives of approximately 3.5% in order to win.
Cllr Mark Shooter, of Hendon Ward, said that this is excellent news, Hannah is a hard working candidate and the seat is very winnable. She is vocal on many issues, and has campaigned hard during her local elections, the Mayoral and the GLA elections. She has also helped organise events for the Hendon Ward.
Councillor David has pledged to continue to give her support to the Hendon Association in the future.
