Rt. Hon. William Hague MP visited the constituency and attended a Q&A session with local MP, Matthew Offord, at Mathilda Marks-Kennedy Jewish Primary School where parents and governors of both Mathilda Marks-Kennedy and local Beit Shvidler Primary School were able to question the Leader of the House of Commons. Most of the questions raised by parents and governors of both schools surrounded the issue of security at faith schools in the midst of the current situation in France. Mr Hague MP was also questioned on the economy and on other local issues that were of concern.
Matthew then took William Hague MP to Mill Hill Broadway Rail Station to discuss Matthew's ongoing campaign to achieve step-free access at the station. The two MPs were taken on a tour of the station by Govia Thameslink officials where step-free access to the station was discussed. Whilst the MPs were on the tour of the station, both witnessed a lady attempting to get her buggy down the steps from the platform to the ticket office, a prime example of why step-free access would benefit local residents and visitors to Mill Hill.
