Lucy Wakeley

Barnet Councillor, Edgware

Lucy was elected to represent Edgware Ward in May 2022. She is proud to say she was born and grew up in Edgware and is deeply committed to serving her community.

Since 2020 she has been Chair of the Barnet Young Conservatives. She is passionate about getting young people involved in politics and is proud to be the youngest Councillor in Barnet.

On the council Lucy is the Vice-Chair of the Children and Education Overview and Scrutiny Sub-Committee and is the Shadow Cabinet Member for Children and Education and for Adult Social Care.

In her professional life Lucy spent 5 years working for Members of Parliament and now works in Public Affairs at a Law Firm.

Lucy was Chairman of Hendon Conservative Association from 2023-2024 having previously served as Deputy Chair, Political.
